Description
Technical Report
During inspection, it was found that the high-amperage outlet for the oven was burned due to overheating. According to the technicians, when the oven was moved, the plug was not properly seated or secured, creating a loose electrical connection.
This loose contact increased electrical resistance at the connection point, producing excessive localized heat. The high temperature caused insulation damage, copper discoloration, and eventually burning of the outlet and part of the cable.
The issue was not caused by an overload, but by a contact failure that acted as a partial resistor, concentrating heat at the terminal instead of allowing proper current flow.
For now, a temporary repair will be performed, replacing the damaged sections and securing the connection to keep the unit operating safely.
Once the new materials arrive, a complete replacement of the outlet, wiring, and plug will be done. After installation, resistance and current draw measurements will be performed to ensure that values are within normal parameters and that no excessive load or voltage drop is present.
Oven estimate: 1,160 USD
